Sunrise Shootout in Sunrise, FL sees 5 FBI Agents Shot, 2 were killed.
Sunrise, South Florida- Tuesday at 6Am, the FBI Field Office in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (Broward County) conducted a residential raid of a suspected child pornographer. A shootout occurred, and 5 officers were shot, 2 have died, 2 are in stable condition at hospital, a 5th declined medical treatment.
FBI Director Christopher Wray has named the deceased as Daniel Alfin, 36, and Laura Schwartzenberger, 43.
It appears there was a 2-hour standoff with the suspect barricaded inside. As many as 50 shots were fired from inside the home, in the deadliest attack on FBI in 30 years. The last time 2 Agents were killed in line of duty was also in South Florida, during a robbery in Miami in 1986. Neighbors reported a SWAT Vehicle breached the suspect's front patio to make entry. The suspect is believed to have killed himself during the shootout. The area was closed to traffic, but was cleared by 9AM. Investigation is pending, more information may be revealed later.
CBS Miami's @BrookeShaferTV shared a video on Twitter with multiple law enforcement agencies, ambulance, fire trucks and helicopters controlling the scene.
The 2 Agents killed were reported to be Top-Ranking Child Pornography Investigators. Daniel Alfin & Laura Schwartzenberger profiles from Sun Sentinel reported that Laura worked with FBI since 2005 in "sexploitation" & Child Sex Images. She specialized in breaking up blackmail rings who obtained nude photos of people and extorted them by threatening to release the images to the public, social media, etc. She was also involved in tracing the source of child porn images found online. A 2nd NY Post article revealed Alfin was with FBI since 2008 and was credited with the 2018 arrest of a former Miami Mayor's aide who was groping teenage boys.
FBI Agent Laura Schwartzenberger spoke regularly at South Florida Schools, teaching children & teenagers how to avoid sexual predators, kidnappers, and online grooming.

There are RUMORS circulating that this was not a Child Porn arrest, but instead was an attempt to remove firearms from a potentially dangerous individual, in 2nd Amendment crackdowns under Biden Administration.
At #TruthBomb2020 we believe its safe to assume this was a Sex Crime raid due to the specializations of the officers killed.
